CONDITIONS

1) AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION

 

The applicant must show proof of credible savings of roughly RM 500,000 overseas in savings acc, current acc, fixed-deposits, time-deposits etc. AND a monthly income of roughly RM 10,000 from any source that will support his future stay in Malaysia.

 

Note:The amounts stated above are common approximate amounts of savings required for living comfortably in Malaysia. The amount needed by a family of 4 compared to 1 person will be different. A more specific estimate relevant to your application can only be derived after we evaluate your information.

 

2) AFTER APPROVAL

The applicant must fulfill the following conditions upon being approved for the MM2H Programme. ie. you will have to do the following after acquiring conditional approval, but before the Immigration Department puts the actual MM2H Visa onto your passport.

a) Financial Requirement

i) Applicant above 50 years old. The applicant must deposit at least RM 150,000 in a fixed deposit account with a Malaysian incorporated bank.

(An applicant above 50 years old can get a waiver of having to put the RM 150,000 fixed-deposit if they can provide proof of more than RM 10,000 per month from a government pension in their home country. The authority is very strict on this waiver, that it has to be a government pension and nothing else).

ii) Applicant below 50 years old. The applicant must deposit at least RM 300,000 in a fixed deposit account with a Malaysian incorporated bank.

Note: The participant can withdraw an amount of his fixed deposit after a period of 1 year for the purchase of property, childrens' education or medical expenditures. He must however maintain a minimal of RM 60,000 in his F.D. at all times.

b) Medical Checkup

   The applicant must go through a compulsory medical check-up in a Malaysian hospital. The applicant must be minimally healthy i.e. without any contagious diseases. The medical report will be submitted to the Government.

c) Medical Insurance

   The applicant must also possess or buy a medical insurance valid in Malaysia. A foreign medical insurance can be used for this purpose if the policy specifically mentions coverage in Malaysia.
