Effective 13 Feb 2009:

  1. Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) participants aged 50 and above with specialised skills and expertise that are required in the critical sectors of the economy, are allowed to work not more than 20 hours per week. The approval to work part-time is subject to the following conditions:

a)      the application is approved by the MM2H Special Committee;
b) the work contract needs to state that the MM2H participant is working part time and to attach the work schedule; and
c) total number of hours of week does not exceed 20 hours.
 

  1. MM2H participants are allowed to invest and actively participate in business, subject to existing Government policies, regulations and guidelines which are in force for the relevant sectors.
     
  2. The ten-year Social Visit Pass is extended to all Silver Hair and MM2H participants who were previously approved under the five-year Social Visit Pass, subject to the validity of their passports.
     
  3. ID-Cards will be issued to MM2H participants with permanent address in Malaysia. This is validated by submitting the Sales and Purchase Agreement or Tenancy Agreement in Malaysia.
     
  4. Age limit of unmarried dependent children is raised from 18 years to 21 years. A declaration stating that the child is unmarried and all expenses during the stay in Malaysia will be borne by the principal participant of the MM2H program is required.
     
  5. ‘Dependants’ include unmarried children aged 21 years and below, step-children, disabled children and parents.

Thank you for visiting our website on the Malaysia My 2nd Home Program. In this website you will discover how to apply for the MM2H - the conditions, application process, required documents, time frame etc.

 

Our company CK-TEN (MM2H) SDN BHD is one of the largest and longest established in this field. We are licensed by the government of Malaysia as an agent for the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Program. Our clients are professionals and business people from all over the world.

 

The MM2H Program is for families or individuals to live on a long term period in Malaysia on a 10 year renewable multiple entry visa. Successful participants can bring their spouse, children and a maid to live here. The participant's children can attend any reputable international schools and colleges in Malaysia. The spouse and children of the main applicant gets the same class of visa and the same duration as the main applicant.

 

There is no minimum compulsory number of days stay in Malaysia under this program. As an example you can stay here 365 days a year or just 1 day a year. There is no limit to your number of entries or exits to or from Malaysia per year.

Participants of the MM2H Program can also invest in all common classes of assets in Malaysia i.e. property, shares of companies, bonds and fixed-deposits. They can also actively participate in business such as being an owner of a company and being involved in the active running of it. Those that are above 50 years old can work for up to 20 hours a week in skilled positions. However one needs a further permission from the Immigration Department before he or she can work for 20 hours a week.

There is no tax on monies brought into Malaysia, however any income (such as income from house rental) made in Malaysia will be subjected to income tax.

The basic financial criteria is to open the following Fixed Deposit account in a Malaysian incorporated bank of your choice, after you have gotten approval for the Program:

- Fixed Deposit RM 150,000 (can withdraw RM 50,000 to buy a house, pay for medical expenses or children's education, after 1 year)

 

Below 50 years old

- Fixed Deposit RM 300,000 (can withdraw RM 150,000 to buy a house, pay for medical expenses or children's education, after 1 year)

 

AGENCY FEE

Our fee is RM 10,000 and includes the following services:

 

(1) Being a Sponsor for your application.

(1a) Completing the Declaration Form for your application.

(2) Compiling, submitting and follow-up until the result of the application is known.

(3) Transporting you and your family members to all places related to the

     acquisition of the MM2H Visa when you come.

(4) Compulsory medical examination for you and your family.

(5) Minor follow-up advise for your stay in Malaysia.

 

50% of the fee is payable at the beginning of the process and the remainder when we take you to collect the Visa.       

 

It does not include the following costs, as they are usually variable from case to case:

 

(1) Medical insurance policy for the applicant.

(2) Immigration Visa fee payable to the Immigration Department, of approximately RM 110 per passport per year.

 

We have and will always endeavour to compile an application to the best standards and chance of success. In the unlikely event if an application fails we will retain RM 100 for miscellaneous fee and will return the rest of the money to you.

 

The documents that are required at the stage of application are as follow:

 

 

DOCUMENTS NEEDED

(1) Passport. Photocopy of every page of the passport (notary public to stamp the page with photo only).

 

(2) 4 passport-sized photographs for each person. 

 

(3a.) Proof of financial security. Financial statements from Savings, Current or Fixed Deposit bank accounts outside of Malaysia that has collective value of RM 600,000 or more. This is to demonstrate that this person has the financial capacity to support his stay in Malaysia. (Should get documents for the last 3-6 months)

 

(3b.) Prove of offshore monthly income of about RM 10,000. This proof of monthly income should be in the form of profit from companies, salary, pension or other retirement benefits (in the form of letter from company or payment vouchers or income tax statements etc).

 

(4) Marriage Certificate (if application with spouse).

 

(5) Birth Certificate (if application with children).

 

(6) Curriculum Vitae/Resume

 

(6) Any other information or documents that can further substantiate or strengthen the application, such as membership of professional bodies, educational certificates etc.

 

(7) A simple letter of intention to apply for the Programme.

 

(*) Letter of good conduct from your local police (police clearance letter)

 

* The above copies of certificates or statements need to be certified true copy by the Notary Public or issuing authorities.*

 

We are a licensed agent for the MM2H Programme. Our job includes advising the client, being a sponsor and completing various official declaration on behalf of the applicant. We also compile the application, submit and follow through until approval.

PROCESS

Step 1 –  Pre-Submission (Applicant to mail necessary documents and fees to us or our agent listed here).

 

FEES PAYABLE:

50% of agent’s fee

 

Step 2 -  We submit completed application.

 

Step 3 -  Conditional Approval letter is issued by the Immigration Department Malaysia. We inform applicant.

 

Step 4 -  Applicant comes to Malaysia.

  

ACTIVITY: 

1. Medical Check

2. To open a Malaysian Bank Account and a fixed-deposit.

3. To purchase Medical Insurance

 

Step 5 -  We submit remaining documents.

 

ACTIVITY:

1. Applicant collects VISA

 

FEES PAYABLE:

1. Remaining 50% of agent’s fee

2. RM 450 for 5 years visa fee (RM90 x 5)

3. RM 500 for “Journey Performed” - Visa fee if applicant is in Malaysia when approval is issued.

 

Step 2 to Step 3 (from application to approval) takes approximately 30 working days.
